Tracking your loads
LoadMate gives you the ability to track individual loads across your vehicle and caravan setup — providing live insights into how each item contributes to your total weight, balance, and compliance. Whether you're heading off for a weekend or planning a big lap, LoadMate keeps a detailed, dynamic record of your weights — so you're never towing blind.
With just a few taps, you can adjust, exclude, move or remove loads and see the real-world impact instantly. It’s weight tracking that’s actually useful — and built for how people travel.
Understanding Load Status Badges
Each load in LoadMate will be assigned a status that affects how it contributes to your current setup and weight calculations.
Active

This is the default status for all loads before a professional weigh-in is recorded. While marked as Active, LoadMate will actively track the item’s weight and factor it into your current towing profile and calculations.
Use Case:
- Everyday items you're manually adding or adjusting
- New loads you have added after a weigh-in
Exclude

When excluded, the load’s weight is not used in any calculations. You can toggle loads on or off as needed.
Use Case:
- Water tanks you sometimes travel with
- Seasonal or occasional items
Weighed

This status indicates the load was included in a professional weigh-in. LoadMate will calibrate your setup to the weight report, but won’t actively track this load's weight moving forward.
Use Case:
- Items that were weighed and haven’t changed location or been removed since
Remove

A load that was present during a professional weigh-in, but has since been removed. LoadMate will calculate the net effect of its removal on your weights and compliance status.
Use Case:
- Offloading gear to reduce weight
- Managing variations between trips
Note:
You can add or remove loads at any time using the ‘Add Weighed Load’ or ‘Remove Weighed Load’ options.
Moved

A load that was included in a professional weigh-in but has since been moved to a different location. LoadMate will calculate the net impact of this change on your setup — including effects on axle loads, tow ball mass, and more.
Use Case:
- Shifting weight forward or rearward
- Adjusting distribution to reduce tow ball mass
Note:
To change a load’s location, tap the edit button and select the new storage position. LoadMate will automatically track both the old and new location for accurate calculations.
Unlocking the Power of LoadMate’s Smart Load Engine

LoadMate doesn’t just track your loads — it helps you understand them. When you tap the information icon on any load, LoadMate displays how that item affects your overall towing profile.
For example, on caravan loads, you’ll see how each item contributes to:
- Tow ball download
- Axle loads
- Weight distribution
This detailed breakdown helps you understand not just what you’re carrying, but how it’s impacting trailer stability and compliance. It's an incredibly useful tool for learning how load placement affects your rig — without the guesswork.
Smarter Load Distribution Insights

On the same screen, you can expand the ‘Load Distribution Options’ panel to explore alternate storage positions for any load.
Let’s say you’ve stored a heavy item in your front tunnel boot, but your tow ball mass is running high. With just a few taps, LoadMate shows you exactly how moving that item to a different storage location will affect your balance and limits — in real time.
Gone are the days of spending hours with a professional weigher trying to manually rebalance your rig. LoadMate gives you instant visibility and smarter decision-making tools, right in your pocket.
Weight Check History

If you’ve uploaded a professional weight report and linked your loads, LoadMate goes a step further — it tracks the history of each item over time.
This includes:
- Where each load was located at the time of your weigh-in
- Its contribution to your actual weight distribution
- Any changes made since — including new locations, updated weight splits, and the net effect of those changes
What this means in practice is simple but powerful:
You’re no longer relying on a static snapshot from a single weigh-in. LoadMate helps you maintain a live, accurate view of your actual weights and balance, even after gear has been moved or removed.
Instead of guessing, estimating, or needing a full reweigh every time you change something, LoadMate gives you real data to stay on top of your weight limits and towing stability — trip after trip.
Listing Totals vs. Changes Since Weigh-In
When you’ve linked a professional weigh-in to your LoadMate profile, you’ll see a toggle at the bottom of each Load screen.
This toggle allows you to switch between two views:

- Listing Total Loads – displays the current total weight of each load

- Listing Changes Since Weigh-In – shows the net change to each load since your weigh-in
This feature makes it easy to clearly distinguish between:
- The condition of your setup at the time of your professional weigh-in
- Any changes you’ve made since — including moved, removed, or added loads
It’s a simple way to track how your rig has evolved, and to understand how those changes affect your current compliance and weight distribution — without losing sight of your original baseline.
