Set by feel, trusted forever
Most hitches get set up once in the driveway, a few chain links by feel, and never questioned again.
But the tow ball mass the hitch was tuned for moves with every trip: water, gear, the new toolbox. The bars don't know that.
Your hitch, in the numbers

Tell it what you run
Spring-bar rating, length and applied tension, or a restoration percentage for hydraulic hitches, with a live preview of the axle effects as you enter them.

The three numbers that matter
Weight restored to the tow vehicle's front axle, relieved from the rear, and shared onto the van's axles, so the effects flow straight into your compliance figures and score.

Flagged when the load outgrows the setup
Running a hydraulic hitch? If your tow ball mass drifts more than 10% from what the hitch was set up for, loadmate raises it on your safety feed, so the hitch isn't tuned for last month's load.

Common questions
- Is WDH modelling free, or do I need Pro?
loadmate is free to download, and the demo rig runs a spring-bar hitch you can explore end to end. Modelling the hitch on your own trailer and saving it to your rig is part of Pro, one annual subscription, no feature tiers.
- Does loadmate handle hydraulic hitches, or only spring bars?
Both. Spring-bar mode takes the bar rating, length and applied tension you set by feel; FALR mode takes the restoration percentage owners of hydraulic hitches set by measurement. Either way you get the same three axle-effect numbers back.
- Is it on iOS and Android?
Yes. loadmate is free to download on both the App Store and Google Play.
- Can I explore it before subscribing?
Yes. The demo rig comes set up with a spring-bar hitch, and you can tap through every screen without a countdown timer. Nothing you do changes the demo data.
- Does it flag when my hitch has drifted out of tune?
On a hydraulic (FALR) hitch, if your tow ball mass moves more than 10% from what the hitch was set up for, loadmate raises it on your safety feed, so you are not still running last month's setup.
