Round, black, and seven years old
Caravan tyres rarely die of wear. They sit, they bake, they age, and the date that tells the story is stamped on the sidewall in a code most people have never read.
The other quiet number is the load rating. Tyres carry a limit just like axles do, and a heavily loaded van can be past it with plenty of tread left.
Set once, watched always

Enter them once, then forget them
Size, load index, date fitted. Add the DOT code and loadmate decodes the manufacturing week and runs the age clock from the older truth. When you fit new rubber, one Log Tyre Change tap resets it.
A heads-up before the rubber ages out
An amber warning as the tyres age, and a can't-miss red on your Rig screen once they're past it, with tighter thresholds for the van, whose tyres age faster than they wear.

Load rating, checked against reality
loadmate compares your tyres' combined rated capacity to what the rig actually weighs as loaded, and flags it when the margin goes, a check that changes with every trip you pack.

Common questions
- Do I need loadmate Pro to track my tyres?
loadmate is free to download, and you can open the tyre profile on the demo rig to see how the age and load-rating checks work. Saving your own tyre profile, and logging a tyre change later, is part of Pro.
- Does it keep watching the tyres on its own, or do I have to log something?
You enter the profile once. After that loadmate runs the age clock in the background, raises an amber heads-up as the tyres get old and a red flag once they're past threshold. You only come back when you fit new rubber and tap Log Tyre Change.
- Does it check the load rating every trip, or just the once?
The load-rating check compares your tyres' combined rated capacity against what the rig actually weighs loaded, so it moves with every trip you pack. A heavy load can put you past tyre capacity with plenty of tread left.
- Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. The app ships with a demo rig carrying a full tyre profile, so you can open the age and load-rating cards and the entry sheets before you add your own.
